An assessment is a demonstration of learning.   How can we design relevant and timely assessment and meaningful feedback approaches to support the needs of our modern learners?  In our interactive workshop, we will address these questions and how to cultivate self-directed learning skills and self-monitoring capacities to ensure sustained growth over time.    This session will dive into strategies for planning engaging and fresh inquiry into contemporary topics and issues.  We will learn how to "upgrade" assessment with timely new forms that are authentic and anchored in place-based learning.    Diving into a vast array of real examples, you will be inspired to expand the possibilities for your learners to show their progress and inquiry.
