In this era of large-scale assessments and top-down test scores, how and when can middle/high teachers truly be reflective about their teaching and classroom practices? Through this workshop, middle/high teachers will develop a greater enthusiasm and deeper understanding for the opportunities and affordances of leveraging simple research and reflective data to support their own goals in their classroom. Attendees will deepen their capacity and skills for reflective teaching by learning to develop, collect, analyze, and apply student drawings, surveys, observation protocols, to better capture practices and perceptions of their students and other community members.
