Current classroom teachers and educational entrepreneurs Constance Borro and Amanda Bunten will share reflections and practical resources from their teaching careers for helping students regain control of their academic journey. They will share their own experience with mastery-based learning in their classrooms, including practical online tools for empowering students to track and pursue their own mastery. Teach students how to abandon their perfectionism and get savvy with their studying; when you just need to show mastery, the difference between a 95 and a 97 becomes irrelevant. Watch the burden of points, ranking, and sorting be lifted from students' shoulders as your classroom transforms into an engine for intrinsic motivation and deep learning, where scores can change with growth and are reflective of what students truly know.
